Alaska Rockfish and Lingcod Fishing
Our package price includes an opportunity to head south to the gulf of Alaska to experience a different fishing opportunity. Weather permitting, our guests are able to enjoy a long range fishing trip to hook into some of the rockfish species or Ling cod that are plentiful in the rich Alaskan waters. This trip is not for the faint of heart, and is an all day adventure! The scenery is stunning and often our guests are treated to whales feeding and sea lions lounging on the rocky coastline.
Rockfish
We are blessed to be able to catch various species of rockfish; Yellow eye, Tiger, Black rockfish, and China rockfish, to name a few. These spiny ocean critters taste amazing and are entertaining to catch. Get ready to get those fillets for the frypan!
Lingcod
They don’t call them dragons of the sea for nothing! The fight of this fish is a memorable one! Lingcod are available from July 1st through the end of the year and offer a thrilling fishing experience. The lingcod fight hard, so get ready to get your crank on! The fillets are just as tasty as halibut and taking home some lingcod for the freezer is a bonus. Fish and game has set harvest restrictions based on size, but even if it’s not a keeper, you can snag a quick picture to savor that memorable experience before returning them back to the depths.
